The Komi Can’t Communicate manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since May 2016 and has been collected into 20 volumes, with the 21st volume scheduled for release on May 21. Viz Media translates the series into English and has so far released 12 volumes, with volume 13 scheduled for release on June 8, and volume 14 scheduled for August 10. Viz describes the first volume as such:
Timid Tadano is a total wallflower, and that’s just the way he likes it. But all that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes she isn’t aloof—she’s just super awkward. Now he’s made it his mission to help her on her quest to make 100 friends!
Komi Can’t Communicate will be broadcast in Japan on TV TOKYO starting in October 2021.
